The End Of The Year

Suffice to say, these 2 months have been very grueling, painful, tormenting, fun, memorable and compelling.

I am glad that we actually had a video to present because some group didn't even have it rendered. *clears throat*. My group mates, Kez and Maj are my good friends and I've began to become closer to Maj then i had since last year at Video Fundamentals.

Iam relieved Natalya did her part.

Iam grateful to Maj because she put in a lot of effort and tried to salvage everything possible when we nearly broke down. Kez has been trying to be patient and she too, has done a considerable amount as we are handicapped.

On a personal level I did not do much work. But it matters not, it has come to a close and we're still going to be good friends. I am moving into the second year and it's been fun and sad to know one year has past. Along the way we have made many friends who i truly appreciate. I would like to thank all my friends. This is sappy but it doesn't matter. I'd like to thank a whole hell lot of people for making freshman year fun.

Dion, Clarissa, Andrea Lek, Boon Bin, Yvonne, Angie, Yuan Ming, Gina and Germaine, Kez, Maj, Jem, Mal, Gary, Raymond, Nafisah, Yi Chuin, Vivien, TY, Jake, Aaron, Candice, Jen, Sarah, Kirin, Rina, Wendy, Rachael and Raj.

I didn't miss out anyone. Confirmed.

Thank you Aaron for making my December holidays enjoyable and memorable.

Thank you Kez and Maj for making cooking at each other's places fun.

Thank you all for helping me with my work one way or another.

Thank you Raj for Photoshop.

Thank you Boon Bin for giving us a lot of tips.

Thank you Andrea for going with me to the special preview of Atonement, in doing so ensured the ticket didn't go to waste.

Thank you Dion and Kez for support during turbulent times, showing me that even though people can be unfeeling and cold, there are a minor few who comfort us with emotional comprehensiveness.

We have submitted our tape, our production package and everything that has to be done.

Day 29

Today, simple.

Came to school to upload the video into a tape.

At first the audio was static.

Fixed it.

Got it done.

Go home and enjoy my day.

Day 28

I think this is day 28. One tends to lose his direction of time, dates and places when one grows too accustomed to the norms of society and work. Cognizance seems like a myth.

Doesn't matter. On saturday we met very early to edit the video so we can call it. Due to some complications we ended up at Maj's house where did for me a new blog skin for my private blog. We also decided on our credit roll and the style of it.

Because on saturday our bad digression caused the work to spill into today. We spent the whole day adding subtitles, reading Harry Potter books, eating, talking, listening to music, using Photoshop and more editing.

We ended at 12 in the morning and Kez's lovely aunt gave me a lift home. We were glad we ended at that time on that day because if not we would be behind time and it may totally cause us a fail. We also wanted to get over and done with.

Amen.

Another Extra, Read All About It

Today we just came back to school to see Wahidah although we were supposed to relax. I think the only reason why we can relax because we do not have animation shenanigans to complete. So we showed her the scenes which we re-shot.

She was satisfied. Good. Even if she wasn't, not enough time to re shoot. So hope it was good because it was really good.

Notes On A Scandal is nice because we watched it after Wahidah left the classroom.

We have left the editing which will obviously have a lot of impromptu add-ins.

The Gala Premier

We had to do a peer review and to be honest, i would like to retract my view on some people. Won't disclose.

Gathered today at the LT 25 of Temasek Design School the freshmen of Moving Images are going to showcase their works which will be then considered for the MOI Awards. The groups arrived late but it will not affect their eligibility.

There were many powerful performances and many moving pictures and all in all, it was a day of glitz, glamor, laughter and joy.

And the nominees and winners for,

This is my personal opinion. Don't sue me.

After the presentation we were told we needed a rationale and title for the video which kez volunteered. It is coming to a close and tomorrow the tapes and paper work must be submitted. We had a fun time at Kez's place making pizza and watching a movie.

Day 27

At 4 in the morning one tends to lose all his sense of satirical humor. But it matters not.

Today the weather, my fluffy pillows and soft blanket told me to stay in bed but my iron will forcibly dragged me out of the seduction. Today we had to shoot the closing scene. The scene which will transit to the credits. Gary wasn't in school so we got Andreas to do it for us. Such a sweet fellow. Maybe because he was impatient and needed to break from the monotony of video editing. The lines were very impromptu because I never thought about a proper script nor did i churn one out. So we quickly threw each other lines pertaining to propaganda and MOI. It went well and it was really very very commercial like. Tackled a few problems of over exposure and stuff but Andreas did a good job.

At 4 in the morning one tends to lose the ability to resist the calling of springy mattresses and the warm embrace of the midnight cloak.

Day 26

Today I was supposed to dress formally and downed in a black get up but i totally forgot. I was supposed to be a bouncer for the FYP Diploma show. There so many people there rude and polite and blur which was very frustrating.

We were issued red scarfs and I had to be partners with Kevin which was like *rolls eyes*. He was very rude to the people and it worked out when a girl, in front of her parents and brother (or so i believe) told him off. She said "Manners, man!". Damn bitchy but damn effective. I thought i did a good job in making that piece of cloth look fashionable but kevin tried so hard to imitate my style and flopped miserably. My panache and style is one of a kind. All was well.

Ok, today our group shot the new sequence for 2D art fund because wahidah in her sensible honest opinion felt it was a little too tacky and disposable. We agreed so we re shot the scene. Setting up the set for the shoot was fun and easy because carrying heavy easels and boards are good for my arm muscles. So anyway Maj served as the camera man while me and kez took part by showing our faces.

Day 25

Today was D-day. It was raining. Our Natalya thought an abandoned bag in the other classroom was a bomb left behind by Mas Selamat. She's not very sane I suppose. Never mind, we shall leave psychiatric evaluations for now.

Warning: EXTREME BITCHING AHEAD
(If you are a member of the other group and you somehow read this forsaken blog then you might want to scroll to the end or read my private blog which I love to advertise.)

The first group that went for the presentation was Snap. Lionel's diction, tenses and grammar is all over the place even a mop couldnt clean it up. But they had good content and their animations were fairly acclaimed.

Because Snap did quite well, it was a battle between Looney Bins and us. Well at the back of my mind I knew Looney Bins wouldn't really do well, so presenting after them will make our group seem like a rose among the thorns. So they presented. Their video was funny, i admit, but there was alot of holes here and there which made it annoying after awhile.

Then we went.

After us was Crewsade and they had very good CGI but Jeremy's diction is horrible. Cannot hear a thing he says. So much for being pretty. I rather speak well and be ugly rather than be pretty and mumble and stumble. They had exemplary CGI which put us all to shame. Applauds.

Then the last group didn't even have a video to show. That pretty much sums it all up.

OK, done, i finish bitching. If you got offended by that then too bad, I already warned you and i am not ashamed for being opinionated.

After that, I was tasked upon writting the subtitles for the video which was not fun because I had to replay and hear voices over and over and over and over again just to trans-scribe.

Day 24

Today we realized that our video went over the time line again because Natalya's sequence took a flat 2 minutes which left little space to cramp in the other little details.

We decided to look for a song that would fit our introducing scene which Kez vionlently opposed, but who cares, it was nice.

Thats all. Editing only.

Extra Extra Read All About It Again

I lost my handphone and I managed to scribe the event on my public blog and thus I shall give it some publicity. www.theyranoutofnames.blogspot.com

My parents gave me a new touch screen phone which is impossible to use.

Today we shot our ending sequence. We were going to do it Oscar-thank-you-speech style. Yupp. Stand in front of the camera and thank everyone who has helped in our group production. Including groupmates which are inconvenient truths. I did not say accidental, its just tragical.

We wanted to film in the auditoriums, don't know if i spelt that right, iam using a computer without spell check.

Anyway, the audis were locked so we made did with a stair well. I thought they were going to dress up so I did and in the end they looked like they were clad in market gear. Doesn't matter. Our natalya was late again, but I don't blame her, Never did because there was nothing in the first place. =D

Sudden meeting in the LT, we had a subway feast and I concluded that iam officially bored of subway. Nearly 1 year of working in that place tossing salads and making sandwiches for cranky people and ingesting the food everyday has made me sick.

We let Natalya touch our Oscar. She made it oily. =/ *very scared*

Day 23

When we say meet at 10am, we usually give ourselves 1hour buffer time and end up coming to school at 11 or 1130. OK, so today we had to shoot somemore sequences. I managed to survive a trip to school carrying heavy bottles of acrylic and a heavy bag.

When we reached we set up our set, Kez had to draw the samples that we were going to show in our video. She can draw damn well, she used my pencils to draw so I hope she blessed them with her might hence bestowing upon me the talent to draw too. But thats just besides the point. Our natalya came late but we don't really bother because we were just wasting her time.

We took 3 takes and then decided to go for lunch at IT school. Air-con canteen. All the stores were closed and natalya kept asking stupid redundant questions, made very irritating comments and even played a time keeper which was quite astounding. So we had to eat chinese noodles which was very scrumptous.

So Maj had class and we decided to end the day. Loove. =)

Day 22

OK, this is really bad but here goes.

Our initial plan for today was to shoot the 2D sequence for our video. However, most of us got up late and, I know we suck for that , Joel and I wanted to see how the video was going to be pasted together. We went to the 2D lab where our files were but the computers were all taken. There was a presentation in the 3D lab so that was out of bounds so we went up to the 6th floor where we had our photography module. The lab was hot and stuffy but there were computers available. All too soon, a class was going to start. Actually, that classroom was meant to be for my mmfund class but we changed class again due to something unknown. So now, Joel is in that lab, Kez is around school doing good deeds and I have no idea where the fourth member is.So yeah, I think today was a waste , really. Oops. How horrible. And we can't shoot tonight cause we're all busy and have something on. So yeah.

Thank you Maj. =D

Day 21

Today was a good day. We had fun filming at boat quay probably because i enjoy the scenery there. We decided to film maj's photography sequence there because the picturesque backdrops serves as an apt location for photography. We were hunting for an A2 mounting board which was really rare. We combed the whole of bras basar complex and soon after a gruelling 30 mins we managed to find a forlorn shop in a corner selling the board. Thus, we were late for our meeting with gary.

When we reached the MRT station Gary was already there and he was quite angry with us but never mind. He chose to tag along so too bad. When we reached the location the sky was spastic because there was no clouds in the sky therefore making the frame over exposed. So we maneuvered around the place in the hopes of a cloudy sky but it was till barren. When we found a perfect spot there was this not very pretty model from Mediacock or something getting ready for her shoot.

5 minutes later she left when her Mediacock van came with all the high life equipment and she moved over to a statue of Stamford Raffles where she did a rather dry scene of her walking and all miserable movement. SO while she was away we quickly went to her spot and filmed Maj's scene. It was good and their advanced contraptions did not hinder our confidence. SO today we managed to wrap Maj's scene. =) L0ove.

Day 20

Today we shot our individual scenes. Maj shot her photography scene which had a few problems because the backdrops weren't relevant to the topic.

Gary is a nice camera man.

Wahidah was receptive to the new concept.

Extra Extra Read All About It

We had to continue storyboarding today because we digressed the previous day. I had the honors of acting in another group's production. I had to play a eccentric professor and I found it hard to play the role because I felt quite self conscious. But then it dawned on me that I could base my character on a group mate I know 'quite well'!! Smiles aplenty. It took us 10 takes to wrap shooting because the acting served as a portal for me to vent all the hype locked inside me. So I laughed half way through acting and Clarissa from the other group was guffawing away I was so distracted, but she meant well because I haven't had a good laugh in quite a few centuries. She said I lost weight which was a blatant ardent lie because matter of fact I gained 4 kilos.

Anyway we went to Bedok Resevoir to shoot natalya's sequence which was quite long because she has no talent to draw! So kez was a little exasperated but had to teach her step by step. Even I can make sushi faster than she can draw but that's besides the point. So after she managed to wrap it up the sun was bidding the shallow earth goodbye. Kez isn't very good at throwing rocks into a resevoir. And irritating chinese kids with american accents are ravaging our tranquil gardens. On monday we will shoot the introduction scene for our video.

Day 18

We have decided to remake our whole video because after much consideration we have reached a painful conclusion that our video doesn't make the cut. So Maj has been thinking alot about it and Kez has been PMS-ing and acting really pissed. We decided that sitting down in front of the camera and the camera taking on the role as an interviewer was a little hard because it did not give us the attention we needed. We came to realize it was quite dry too and the hopes of reviving the video was gone. So we had a new concept where we would isolate modules we think is more vital to animation and slot them at the front of the video while those vital to video option would be at the back. We have watched Girl, Interupted and decided that we're going to follow their transition style. Then another 2 modules which cater to both MOI options would be presented at the back of the video.

Day 19

Hello retarded psychos and all the earth and heavens.

HELLO! If you see us walking to the canteen some people can just make use of their brains and move to the canteen to meet us. It is not like you are born with an empty cranium, but wait, maybe you are but I wont be so mean and speculate. But i already did and I don't care.

You are waiting simply because you don't have the initiative to follow us down so we can discuss. We are now in the 2D lab, waiting for natalya... lalalala. Why are we waitng. Right now Iam enjoying reading Wikipedia articles on the internet... lalalala.

Wait, do I see Natalya? No I don't. She's still not here and Maj has already told her where we are, so I wonder why are we waiting. Today we are going to complain aloud. Whee

Wait, is that Natalya i see at the little window? Wait no, she's probably still shuffling to school. Man we're so tired of waiting around and watching people laze around maybe she will come to school soon. Getting more worried, sicker and nauseous with each ticking second, man, I wonder if WE can make it. Hmmmm something to contemplate and deliberate.

So today we have decided on a new concept because the rpevious one was a little bit wrong. We are going to type out a new scfript today and take pictures for our storyboard as we have to be really anal about the angles and stuff. We were supposed to talk things out with Natalya but she just walked away and claimed we were wasting her time. So be it girl. So be it.
Wait wait wait.

Day 17

Cordial salutations to the endearing readers viewing this forsaken text.

Today we had a Subway feast, Maj, Kez and I.

We were told that our new script had some problems which were quickly rectified. The interviewer in our script is a student from a high life school hence his tone is a little stuck up and condescending tone. We have made a new time line and tomorrow we will resume our productions here and there and pick up from where we left off. We should do fine because regardless of being crippled the 3 of us still have the determination to pull this off and achieve a fine grade pleasing to our eyes.

We need a new camera because we returned the old one. We are going to find many ways to salvage the video and make a kick ass one and owned the silly epics we have watched. No offense.

We went to my place to watch Girl, Interrupted but then my quirky family had to bring all its four members to service the computer. I accidentally cheated Kez's feelings because I thought I had the Juno DVD. She got pissed and her period is coming soon either I take the weekend off to the Maldives or I hide in a bunker somewhere in Fort Canning.

Maj may have her period too, I should just bury myself alive. I am not trying to suck up but listening to Whitney somehow bears an uncanny resemblance to Kez's voice.

We can do this project well because every night I pray to God that He will help us get through this with a grade that glorifies His name. I tell Him every night too to make people stop hurting me and I ask Him to keep the frail but impregnable hope I still cling onto.

Day 15

Hello world and the eternal people inhabiting the tortured planet. Al Gore still lives.

Today was interim assesment which was quite alright.

We presented our rough cut video to get comments.

Nat solely made a redundant power point presentation.

We need better aesthetic for our interview room because it was too boring. It was a relief that everyone got our introduction and wasn't confused with the first and third-person role that the camera had.Our 2D art sequence had to be slower because it became really fast an headache-y when it was approaching the end. The same goes for our ComDI sequence. We also have to work on our transitions between the interview room and the video for our modules. On a more personal level, our group is facing some problems regarding initiative issues.

Other than that, we're doing fine and steamboat at Maj's house sounds like fun.

Day 14

Good evening world and the best supporting denizens of Temasek Design School.

Today Maj edited the video and we watched it. She wasn't satisfied and we could see some discrepancies so there is a lot of mess to clear up. TOday we just edited the video so we could show something for the interim assesment.

The main problem was not Maj's editing at all. She's very good at editing, is just that some people during our takes spoke quite alot and therefore the time limit exceeded. So Maj had to make cuts to keep within the time limit but unfortunately the cuts gave the video very bad transitions. So we are going to reshoot once I finish the new script.

Because we did not have a proper script to memorise, we spoke more than enough. SO with the new script we would be more controlled and hence we wont go over the time.

Love.

Day 13

Good evening world and the personels of golden experience.

Today we filmed Ideation and Public Speaking. It was not difficult because we did not need to set up any stage. As the scene was in a class room we just had to use one of the rooms in school and shoot. The lighting and everything was good so it was just shooting. It was quick because Maj acted very well and Natalya did her job. We were told that the role of the camera is a little bit confusing because one scene it is third person but the next scene it is the interviewer. I was taken aback because any one can tell that the camera is third person when it is filming us going to school and obviously in the interview room where there is someone's voice, the camera is the interviewer. We even have voice over to triple confirm it. I mean if you watched Mr and Mrs Smith then it is a prime example. It is also very obvious, the eye of God and the eye of the interviewer.

Maj is editing the video and Kez is sampling audios. They're good.

Good night world.

Tuesday, February 19, 2008

Day 12

Good evening world and the prestige and privileged.

Today we decided to shoot the segment for 3D art fundamentals. I did a sketch of a Grammy Award on my book a few days back but when we finally got to production, we thought the award proved too difficult because the head will topple as clay is not strong when it is wet. SO we switched to making the Oscar, the little man handled out during the annual Academy Awards. We use clay and each of us started to make the different body parts as a group. But the input of some were mediocre to none.

Maj made the sexy legs and Kezia refined them. (Kezia is pronounced as how it is read and not ker-za-er).
I made one of the arms and Kez liked it but she had to modify it, she told me to make another one but she didnt feel it was as nice as the first one. SO while we were making oscar, the camera was taking the whole process, it didnt capture our faces, it just focused on Oscar's construction.
Basically Maj made the legs, I made the hands and the head while Kez refined the parts we made, she also made the chest. She just refined the parts because she has skill we lack. Some lacked skill greatly I could die instantly.

So at the end of the day we ran out of tape, but got what we needed. Someone was being obnoxious and said Oscar was out of proportion, wanted to slap him there and then but then I was just being nice. Smiles aplenty. I love you all. Except for some people.

Day 11

Advertorial
My brother is officially a lazy a******. It all begins with a super funny night of filming. You seriously wont believe how we transformed one of your 3-10 classrooms into a stage for Kez to play her guitar. I Say NO NO NO. NO NO NO as in you wont believe. By the way Amy Winehouse won 5 Grammys.

Ok so we did the shooting and I had a full body work out and finally settled my debt because I feel that I do the least work. Since on Day 10 they found out I have never tried Singaporean food and grew fat on junk food, they brought me out and forced me to eat Hokkien Mee, so the calorie count was so busted. So I was burdened with my camera which I loaned, my handbag and my plastic bag full of spastic pieces of paper and a mounting board. We were supposed to share a 1.5l bottle of Coke Light but in the end I had to bring the half emptied bottle home.

So by now if you are actually reading this you will know about me that I can have another you in a minute. Matter of fact he'll be here in a minute. So don't you ever get to thinking you're irreplaceable. SO i have a heavy handbag, a heavy plastic bag full of spastic papers, a camera satchel bag and a huge bottle of DIET COKE. 0 Calories. So i have to bear this yoke and go the distance as my bus stop was another 500000 miles away.

SO after staggering up the bus and hitting many ignorant passengers, for the first time I took up less than half of the whole seat because my stuff were feeling luxurious. Then when I alighted I fumbled home. AND WHEN I REACHED THE DOOR, I saw the s***** brother lying on the irritatingly comfortable couch while I was carrying weight worse than JLo's make up kit. And he just opened the door and continued watching his TV.

Good evening world and the personifications of authority and everlasting monarchy.

Today I imbibed a mollusk embedded in smithereens of egg and oil.

Apologies.

Today I ate oyster omelet.
So today we filmed the animated piece in real life for Natalya and Kezia. Natalya's piece was about something falling off the window and in natalya in real life, she's trying to jump back up into the window but no matter how many feeble attempts she takes, success seems like the horizon. Then for Kez, she has this animated piece with her playing the guitar with super nice hair flow and whatever, so we wanted to reenact the scene in real life. Problem is, in the animation the hair was moving but we had no giant fans in the room. In a forlorn corner we stumbled across huge pieces of square cardboards and decided to use it as a fan so her hair will move. Smart.
After that we filmed the sequences for the COMDI presentation. I was the one wielding the camera. They wanted perfect camera angles and it was very stressful because i didnt get anything right. Damn sad. SO Gary was nice and taught me how to do it. I learnt and trialed and soon I got the hang of it and had a full body workout as it was easier to do the tilting over Maj who did the mind map on the floor. Initially she did it on the whiteboard and it was very tough keeping the angles perfect. So it was better on the floor but I had to strain my back and hold my arms up like some yoga newbie. In the end it was worth it because my group was happy with it and I wont be labelled as the one who never did any work.
So to date we have filmed some parts of the introduction, COMDI and Animation.

Wednesday, February 13, 2008

Day 6

Good evening world and the wise elders over seeing the overall progress of this turbulent time while offering sage and just stewardship.

Today was presentation one. Dear Wahidah was sick so Mr Alan came and spearheaded the presentation.

The first group which commenced the presentation jitters were pretty awesome. They had a time line to make sure they do not schedule deviate, they had a group name and their group logo design was cute. The next group was, ok i forgot how their presentation went about. Probably a little too insignificant. Whoops. The third group was us. Mr Alan gave us some comments.

He said we needed a list of resources so we wont go haywire. So we compiled a list.
Thing We NEED:
Mr Ronald.
A random interviewer
A Mini DV
A tripod
The 5th floor studio

Since we wanted to have bloopers during our interview Mr Alan said in order to make sure it is totally natural we like to so like have to make the interview super long so there will be errors and then there will be like bloopers.

Monday, February 4, 2008

Day 5

Good evening world and the paragons of power tracking this computer generated journal.

We all have to come to terms with our loss, our penalties, the consequences of things and the sundering of intangible treasures. We have to embrace new shocking and hurtful facts and truths and we also have to live with uncomfortable reasons and sights.

What has transpired has past and has left behind happiness without regret.

Since I'm dry once I have vomited on this blog, I have decided to include snippets of personal stuff. It's called the writer's block or that I am incompetent. Ok speaking of acceptance, somethings that we are given to, though may be dissatisfying, its reality. But but but, I am not saying I love her. I'll just be a nice little boy. Little is a misnomer because I have a swimming tube wrapped around me which the only way to dispose of is to ingest less calories and work out a sweat. Chinese New Year is round the corner those reading this (regardless of elite clique or not) be wary, the chinese new year snacks pack many calories. Go for the mandarin oranges instead.

Alright today we did not really do much. All we did was to create the powerpoint presentation for Day 6. So far we are going to present what we have discussed and finalized. Like how we are going to present each module and the selected modules to present. We have settled our introduction. Its a movie style video. It is going to be like an interview whereby we are the interviewees and the interviewer is personified by the camera. It is going to be like Mr and Mrs Smith. If you watched the movie, half way through the action or the movie the scene cuts to Brangelina in a room where they appear to be answering questions thrown at them and they kind of contradict each other. So our video is going to be like that. The purpose of the interview style is to answer some frequently asked questions and also input personal thoughts about MOI year one and our views on what we have gone through.

Yay, time for day 6.

Thursday, January 31, 2008

Day 4

Good evening world and the people whose power decides my fate. Its day 4 and I have lost the zeal of blogging. Blogging was supposed to be fun, now my main blog has became barren because I have channeled all my prowess into this blog. If my effort doesn't pay off I think I can just go drown myself and hence rid the popular group of their eyesore.

This is going to be offensive but for the good of all students including those belonging to the elite clique, some lecturers should work on the monotony of the lessons because when we explain our reasons and comments, we are told the exact same point we were trying to get across, it is like "Were you even listening?". I minced words, that's not very me but then I don't want to get a D. I think that paragraph probably got my name out of the MOI database. But it is also good that we were shown some videos on what should be and what should not be.

On Day 4, we went in dept and progressed in our pre production. Alright, I totally forgot what I penned in day 3 because that was such a haphazard post and I was not in the mood.

Let us begin with wishing Kezia a happy period.

Well Iam in charge of equipment like the video camera.
Maj is the overseer and the scribe.
Natalya is the software handler, meaning she will use the programmes to fine touch the finished product, well I had to make kezia in charge of it too to ensure ensure in all my innards that nothing will mysteriously go awry. I am a cynic and I won't apologize. Love me or hate me just don't ignore me.

So we have decided to make the video like a movie which reenacts the past. For the introduction we have unanimously decided that it will be like Survival, with the natural environment and such, but, since it's a student work showcase, it will be a digital collage of our works and the fast forwarded edits of the contents. Too complicated? Then read sentence another 4000 times or watch final product.

We have decided on a group name after creative Maj looked at the "Press to exit" sign mounted on the door switch.

After the mini "Survivor" thing thing, we will fade into a scene whereby each of us are making our way to school. Maj will walk, I don't know what can Natalya do to get to school and I will be taking a cab. We all arrive at a dark room with 4 chairs where Kezia is already waiting impatiently, we will look at the camera and start talking like it is an interview, there will be a voice over, probably one of us will change our speech pattern, accent or lower or increase it by a few octaves.

Thats the opening and thats where we are at now. Ok time for my obtuse self awareness moment. It's where I admit where I am wrong and NO it isn't being opinionated. I think I have been hogging up most of the conversations and not giving Maj and Kezie a chance to speak or rather, most of the ideas we are using came from me, it's like I am some control freak. *Think video fundamentals when somebody just dominated every discussion hence me being quiet.* Maybe its like, since I have held it in during video fundamentals, I just decided to word vomit on this group. Well I was forced to because every time I opened my mouth, my words just evaporate faster than water on a petri dish. And yes I think my analogies are good enough for the smart 4000 IQ people.

Ok, this is the professional blog, the private one shall be filled with the inner most thoughts. If you heard a light giggle emanating as you read that line, chances are it's not me and you will have to consult an exorcist.

Day 3 (Complete)

Good afternoon world or the people of power monitoring the growth of this temporary but significant blog. Will update later at night. Bored and no motivation to write. Byebye.

Updating on the fifth day. Which is bad procastination. I can't find my thesaurus so this is going to be very very very so not glamorous. So they day commenced when we were cramped into the cursed LT 25 where the chairs are so fragile they make cracking sounds when I land my butt on it. It doesn't help being the fattest person in MOI, and I blame the chairs for the embarassing sounds.

We were introduced to many videos or movies about how our final product should come about. We previewd exemplary opening and closing sequences. Some films were boring because I was actually watching the videos for their content and story, like how Lord Of The Rings was set in New Zealand and most of the story's attributes were in relation to the director's and the author's past. It was fun.

Then we saw the closing scene of Shoot Em Up, the one with Clive Owen and Monica Bellucci and can you actually believe Monica Bellucci acted in The Passion Of The Christ.

I have officially no mood to blog. Because I don't like it, I can't even be bothered to update my public blog everyday.

After showing us the videos we were dismissed and then we proceeded to the canteen to sate our growling stomach. We decided not so sit in our groups so we could actually have lunch. While ingesting the innocent calories Natalya abruptly from behind, asked if we were going to have a group discussion. Since we all had to head for the next lesson we said NO. We would discuss what we can now and post our ideas on our blog for Natalya to read. But as were caught in enjoying our food, me, kezie and majie did not discuss nothing. So that is all we did. Nothing except for the first three hours in the LT with a chair that is hostile towards fat people.

Day 2

This is not good because it is 2 in the morning.

Good evening world again or the authorized personnel who are monitoring the steadfast growth of this temporary blog.

My head is empty, its heavy, as heavy as my eye lids and my stupid bed keeps paging me and taunting me with its crisp linen sheets, silky blanket, fluffy pillows and turgid bolster. Hmmmm forget the part about turgid bolsters. MOVING ON

They said the blog can be informal, that's good. Very excellent indeed. I am welcoming this gesture with undying alacrity.

Today I ate 2 brownies, 1 plate of rice with vegetables, chicken and bean curd, for dinner I starved and had a oreo chocolate frappe which obviously busted the calories. Maybe if i cut down on one brownie and my senseless ramblings the people reading this won't get angry.

It's time for progress report or so to say, what we did in day 2, boring boring blah blah blah. With my 3/4 satisfying group we have continued to brainstorm. Today we have decided how we are going to portray each subject in our video.

By the way, pardon the tenses or grammar or any damn mistakes you fish out because i am a tad too sleepy.

So since we have listed down which subjects we have taken over the course of a few months, we have decided to zoom in on how we can showcase them.

For 3D Art Fund, we are going to cough out a 1meter long sculpture again like what we did, this time, we are going to video the whole process and when we include it in our video, it will be fast forward motion so it will safe time.

2D Art Fund, We will rent a video camera and just do a simple camera pan on the works currently displayed, we may decide to include some random comments about people's work being phenomenally beautiful or morbidly disgusting. It's mean but honest. Honesty is the best policy. Honesty is brutal.

Photography, We have decided to present a photograph of us taking photos in some beautiful place in Singapore.

Drawing Essentials, we are doing a video where we do a overhead shot of one of us drawing, showing it to Mr Ronald and he will reject it and another one of us will come and he will reject our works multiple times and show us how to draw properly.

Animation Fund, We will try to make a video of kezia strumming her guitar and then it will move into flash animation of a girl strumming her guitar. We will also include snippets of random animated men walking around the screen during the video playback, something like Lizzy Mcguire.

For ideation, we are going to combine it with public speaking. We will do a video clip of a presentation where the guy gets butterflies in his stomach and it hampers his performance. But then we will show an "After public speaking" video where the guy fluently aces his presentation with impeccable enunciation and articulation which practically is to be a stark contrast between the first attempt.

I conclude today's reflections and blah blah blah.

By the way, for some brainless people, why are we so afraid to create a public journal where you chronicle your ideas? Is it because you are afraid people will steal your ideas? PLEASE, if people stole your ideas, you will know, you confront them and let them know you will not be trifled with. And people who steal ideas won't feel good too, so please, we are more creative than to steal ideas. Lecturers are born with brains too, they can tell from the journal who hatched the idea first. If I say Day 2 I came up with bla bla bla and someone from the next group comes up with the same idea on Day 3, pretty much says a whole lot does it? If you want to keep your viewers in suspense, you already are by letting them in on information, because what they visualize is not what you visualize, so you don't have to worry about them predicting the outcome of your work. I am too lazy to reason but doesn't mean we should create private logs. And also knowing some groups actually do not do much work and produce 18-word journals is a great boon and satisfaction already. Smiles aplenty my darlings. Sleep with angels.

Ok, byebye. Good night world and the personnel monitoring the success and flak this blog shall receive.

Day 1

Good evening world or supervising personnel monitoring the progress of this blog/diary/journal.
This entry is scribed in the evening so pardon the undulated time line.

Firstly we consolidate ourselves into groups of 4 and with a little hiccups here and there we finally settle down into the partially desired group. But all is well and calm before the storm.

So we brainstorm on possible ways on how the video should run and we decide if one person solely take up 2 minutes to present her work, it will be very mundane and self centered therefore we decided since it is a video, the others may add random comments or noises to make it more lively, warm and possibly, comical.

Next we have compiled a list of modules we have taken, which wasn't too hard. We also had to tackle the part whereby some of us had lecturers or random school workers throwing away our work so therefore, some stuff can't be showcased as much as we want to. We narrowed down who has what from which module. Want some figures or results??

2D Art fundamentals (2D art) - Everyone has their works
Creative Storytelling (Storytelling or CST) - Only me, Joel
Drawing Essentials (Drawing Ess) - All
Communicating Design Ideas (Com DI) - All
Ideation (Got no clue for a short form, does "I" count?) - Joel and Natalya
Video Fundamentals (Video) - Still unknown because we did not make contact with the lecturer, so all is still cloudy around this topic
Digital Media Fundamentals (DM Fund) - Majorie and Kezia
Animation Fundamentals (Anim) - All
3D Art Fundamentals (3D Art) - All
Photography (Foto) - Joel, Kezia and Natalya

Then we intelligently decided to make our lives harder by including the CDSs and Electives we took.

Visual Presentation Essentials (Vpress) - Joel, Natalya and Kezia (Maj did not take this subject)
Public Speaking (a bit redundant but nevertheless worthy) - Natalya
Italian (very redundant and obsolete)

So with the list of what works have survived the rage of time, we have a much clearer and focused picture and a well-lit idea of where this project may head.

Next due to fluctuating talents or absent talents in some members we have decided which works we feel would be more presentable than the other abominations we miraculously conjured. And like angels, we compile another list.

Natalya will present - Com DI, Storytelling, V Press, DM Fund (She got A, don't mess around) and 2D Art.

Kezia shalt showcase her Animation, 2D art, Drawing Ess, Foto and Vpress.

Joel (Me) is showcasing work from Ideation, Com DI, CST, Foto and 2D art

Majorie will throw at us, 2D art, Drawing Ess, Com DI, DM fund, Anim fund, 3D art. (She picked one subject more than us, doesn't mean she gets a higher grade right??)

And so we decide we should get all the works from these subjects by Wednesday, latest Thursday, if someone stops pmsing *clears throat*.

During tomorrow's group discussion I shall request we discuss about the introduction and the Video Fundamentals 'problem'.
